According to the official announcement from the Singapore Government, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be adjusted from 8% to 9%, effective from 0:00 AM on January 1, 2024.
Due to the inherent uncertainties of transit times and to ensure smooth customs clearance upon arrival in Singapore, our company will adjust the tax collection schedule as follows:
Sea Freight: All sea freight shipments loaded into containers in China starting from December 16, 2023, will be subject to the new 9% GST rate.
Air Freight: All high-value goods dispatched from China starting from December 26, 2023, will be subject to the new 9% GST rate.
